DETAILED PROCEDURE :

*
Before proceeding with the operating instructions ensure that your
UPS has been installed correctly.
*
The UPS equipment is provided with easy to use power cable snap on
connectors with 1/3 meter cable length. This is to facilitate quick and
easy installation and uninstallation at any point of time. The connectors
provided with the cable have a free end which should be terminated
by suitable lugs as required by the incoming distribution at site. Figure
- 1(Page - 10) shows the wiring diagram for the common bypass
configuration (default). Note the shorting connectors for BYP-L, U4 &
BYP-N, N4. This will connect the incoming utility as the bypass source.
Figure –2 (Page –11) shows the wiring diagram for separate bypass
connection. In this case the shorting connectors are to be removed
and the separate bypass output is to be connected BYP-L, BYP-N.
Caution : Do not connect any wires to U4-N4 in a separate bypass
configuration. This may lead to short circuit of the input
sources.
*
After properly connecting the UPS to the utility, turn on the Input
isolator (on the back panel). The "LINE" and "BYPASS" indicators
should be lighted. This indicates that the UPS is being connected to
commercial AC power. Turn on the battery circuit breaker. This will
commence the battery charging.
*
Press the "on/off" switch on the front panel. The inverter indicator will
start illuminating. Both "BYPASS" & "INVERTER" indicator will remain
ON for about 20 seconds. After 20 seconds later, the indicator
"BYPASS" will extinguish, the "INVERTER" indicator will continue to
illuminate. When the unit is in normal operation, the output will be
powered from the inverter of UPS.
*
Cut off the input AC power (by turning off a breaker / switch on the
utility line, an audible alarm should start to sound intermittently
indicating a loss of incoming AC power. Now the output is supplied
from the battery source.
*
Turn on the input AC power and connect load (s) to the UPS. Make
sure that the total load will not exceed the output rating of the UPS
terminals. The UPS will start beeping constantly and FAULT indicator
light if it is overloaded, overheated or low battery voltage is detected.
Disconnect the load and cut off input AC power in such a situation.
