    Connect the G35 GPS unit to the supplied 240Volt AC adaptor or to the USB port of your computer for a period of 24 hours in the first instance to charge and condition the battery. It may take several charge/discharge cycles for the device to reach peak endurance.

    To turn the GPS off, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. The G35 Navig8r will be powered down and the position in the menu structure saved; when the G35 Navig8r is started again it will start up in the same screen or position in the program it was in when it was turned off.

    D: Full Recalc: Forces the G35 to recalculate the full route from your current location to the destination address. This feature is useful if you decide to make a side trip from your calculated route.

    Satellites: Shows the number of satellites the G35 is receiving a valid signal from. The larger the number the greater the accuracy of the G35. Up to 12 satellites can be detected at any one time. Altitude: Shows the current altitude of the G35 GPS system as calculated from the satellite signals.

    Tap either icon to repeat the last spoken instructions by the G35. Distances given in spoken instructions are updated to reflect the current distance from the turn.

    Two Speedometer displays are available for selection in the “Look and Feel” settings. Tap the Speed indicator to enter the Speedometer/Statistics screen. Digital: Displayed in this screen are the Local time and the present speed that the G35 GPS is travelling at as calculated from the GPS satellite signals.

    Using the stylus, spell out the name of the city, town or suburb of your destination. After the first 3 letters have been entered, the G35 will begin to list the possible options from those letters. Continue entering the name to refine the list.

    MAIN MENU In some cases it is possible that the G35 may display an “Invalid Trip” message. If this message is shown, please check that the destination is part of a valid road network. For instance, it is not possible to travel by road from Sydney to Hobart. The G35 can only calculate routes that are connected by a valid road.

  • Page 52 A: In most cases this problem is easy to resolve. For the G35 models, make sure that the GPS is charged or connected to a power supply. Remove the Mount Cover form the rear of the device and locate the reset button. Using the supplied stylus, press in the reset button.

  • Page 54 Q: I have finger prints over the screen of my Navig8r, how do I clean it? A: The Navig8r can be cleaned by using a soft damp to dry cloth. Lightly wipe the screen and the case as required. Use another dry soft cloth to make sure that there is no moisture left on the Navig8r.
  • Page 55 Q: Does the unit come with an AC adaptor and a car charger? A: The G35 GPS unit is sullied with an AC adaptor, a 12 v car charger and a standard USB cable. The G35 can be charged using either one of these. They can also be used to charge and run other USB devices that can be charged or run through their USB ports.
