Irregular heartbeats can influence the results of the measurement. The irregular heartbeat algorithm automatically determines if the measurement is usable or needs to be repeated.

It can also calculate an average reading based on the measurements from the last three readings taken within 10 minutes. If there are only two readings in memory for that period, the average will be based on two readings.
