DE-SCALING YOUR COFFEE MAKER To de-scale your coffee maker, place one cup (250ml) of vinegar in the water tank, filling the water tank to the maximum mark with water. Run the machine through a coffee making process, without placing any coffee in the filter. Empty the carafe. Now run the unit twice using only water.
