1. Remove the Battery Cover by sliding
the cover in the direction shown in
Figure 3 above, then tilt the cover up
and off of the unit.
2. Remove the existing Battery and
replace with an identical Battery as
listed in the "Specifications" chart on
page 3 of this manual.
3. Replace the Battery Cover.
NOTE: Dispose of the used Battery in ac-
cordance with all local ordinances.

Cleaning and Maintenance

1. BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the
general condition of the tool. Check
for any condition that may affect its
safe operation.
2. After use, wipe with soft, clean cloth
and store inside, away from extreme
hot, or cold and where children do not
have access.
3. The LCD display and Jaw faces
should be wiped periodically with a
clean, dry, lint-free cloth.
4. Lubricate the body of the Caliper with
a few drops of clock oil.
5. Keep Battery Compartment clean, dry
and free of corrosion.
6. Keep this Caliper dry at all times to
prevent destroying the electronics.
