2.3 Power Supply Troubleshooting

Procedure 1

Power Supply Icon Check

The following two icons indicate the power supply status:
Battery icon
DC IN icon
The power supply controller uses the power supply status with the Battery icon and the DC IN
icon as listed in the tables below.
Battery icon
Lights orange
Lights green (Satellite R20) /
blue (TECRAM7)
Blinks orange
(even intervals)
Flashes orange
(at being switched on)
Doesn't light
DC IN icon
Lights green (Satellite R20) /
blue (TECRAM7)
Blinks orange
Doesn't light
*1 When the power supply controller detects a malfunction, the DC IN icon blinks
orange. It shows an error code.

Table 2-1 Battery icon
Power supply status
Battery is charged and the external DC is input. It has no
relation with ON/OFF of the system power.
Battery is fully charged and the external DC is input. It has no
relation with ON/OFF of the system power.
The battery level is low while the system power is ON.
The battery level is low and the power is turned on only with
the battery.
Any condition other than those above.

Power supply status
DC power is being supplied from the AC adapter.
Power supply malfunction
Any condition other than those above.
