Pre-Last Original Detection
The function referred to as "pre-last original detection" relies on the pre-last original sensor (S8).
The mechanism operates only when small-size originals are used. The machine picks up the first
original (small-size), and then sends the second original from the original tray to the separation as-
sembly. At this time, if no original covers the pre-last original sensor (S8), the machine will identify
the condition as indicating the absence of an original and communicates the fact to the copier.
