Press the
recording.
The DVDirect starts the recording process.
The
(record) button lights up during
recording. The following appears in the
display window.

Change to a blank disc when the
message [Insert a new disc.] appears.
If the contents of the camcorder do not fit
onto a single disc, the disc will be ejected
automatically when it becomes full. Remove
the created disc and insert a blank one.
Recording will resume automatically.

When recording HD (High
Definition) videos,
[AVCHD] appears in the
display window.
Next disc/number of
required discs

Remove the created disc.
If [Auto Finalizing] is set to [ON], the disc
will be finalized automatically when
recording is complete (page 66).
To stop recording
Press the
(stop) button when replacing a
disc.
You cannot stop while recording is in progress.
Notes on copying only new video/photo
Once the DVDirect's recording history is cleared,
recording is started from the first video/photo on
the media. The recording history stored on the
DVDirect is cleared, if:
• the DVDirect or your camcorder has a different
"Memory Stick Duo" from the one used in the
previous recording,
• the connected camcorder is different from the
one used in the previous recording, or
• you have performed [Reset System] of [System
Info] (page 68).
Notes on using "Memory Stick Duo"
When copying from "Memory Stick Duo" that
shares between a camcorder and another device
(digital still camera etc.), make sure that the clock
on device recording images is set correctly. If the
clock setting is not correct, copying only new
video/photo may not be performed as desired.
