Using Your Phone's Lock Features

Locking Your Phone
When your phone is locked, you can only
receive incoming calls or make calls to 911,
Customer Service, or special numbers. (See
"Creating and Using Special Numbers" on
page 92.)
To lock your phone:
1.
Select
Menu > Settings > Security.
2.
Use the Navigation Pad to enter your
lock code.
3.
Highlight
Lock Phone
and
press

4.
Select
Unlocked

On Power-Up

(To set your phone to lock the
next time it is turned on, select
Power-Up

Unlocking Your Phone
To unlock your phone:

From standby mode, press either

Note:
Unlocking the phone from the standby mode resets the security to
"unlocked."
Calling in Lock Mode

You can place calls to 911 and to your special numbers when in lock
mode. (For information on special numbers, see "Creating and Using
Special Numbers" on page 92.)
To place an outgoing call in lock mode:
To call an emergency number or special number enter the phone

Locking Pic/Video
When your pictures and videos are locked, it prevents anyone from
accessing the Pictures menu without first having to enter a security
code.
To lock the pic/video menu:
Menu > Settings > Security
