Cleaning and care
Cleaning the grease filter by hand
^ Clean the filter with a soft nylon brush
in a mild solution of hot water and a
small amount of washing-up liquid.
Do not use undiluted washing up
liquid.
Do not use:
– cleaning agents containing
descaling agents,
– powder cleaners, cream cleaners or
abrasive all-purpose cleaning
agents,
– oven sprays.
Cleaning the grease filter in the
dishwasher
^ Place the filter with the short side
upright in the lower basket, and wash
on a 65° programme using a mild
dishwasher detergent, ensuring the
spray arm is not obstructed.
Depending on the cleaning agent
used, cleaning the filter in a
dishwasher can cause permanent
discolouration to the surface.
However, this will not affect the
functioning of the filter in any way.
^ After cleaning, leave the filter to dry
for a while on an absorbent surface
before putting it back in place.
^ When cleaning the vapour plate,
please follow the instructions given
under "Housing" earlier in this
section.
20
^ With the vapour plate and grease
filter removed, clean off any residues
of oil or fat from the now accessible
housing and channel on the lower
housing to prevent the risk of these
catching fire.
^ After replacing the grease filter,
press the grease filter control for
approximately 3 seconds to reset the
operating hours counter.
The indicator lamp will go out.
If the vapour plate and grease filter are
cleaned before the operating hours
counter has reached its maximum, the
grease filter control should be pressed
for approximately 6 seconds to reset
the counter to zero.
^ Push the grease filter into position
until it engages.
^ Hook the vapour plate into the bottom
of the housing, push it slightly to the
left and then raise it up towards the
appliance and click it into position.
