CUSTOMIZING KEY FUNCTIONS

The left/right keys can be assigned for certain functions (flash mode, drive mode, white
balance and exposure compensation) in the section 1 of the recording-mode menu. The
default setting is off. All of these functions affect the movie-recording mode except for the
drive mode and flash mode.
Select the key func. option in section 1 of the
recording mode menu. Use the up/down keys to
select the function (1). Press the central
controller button to set the function (2). The
selected function will now be activated when the
left/right controller keys are pressed in the
recording mode.
Refer to the following sections for information on the drive mode (p. 38), white balance
(p. 43), flash mode (P.36), and exposure compensation (p. 45).
Pressing left/right key changes the settings and
changes are displayed on the LCD monitor. Changes
are set automatically after five seconds or when
another camera button is pressed.
