Out of specification → Replace the reed
valve.
Reed valve bending limit
0.4 mm (0.016 in)
4. Check:
• Air cut-off valve
Cracks/damage → Replace.
5. Check
• Air induction system solenoid

a. Remove the air induction system solenoid
coupler from the wire harness.
b. Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1) to the air
induction system solenoid terminals as
shown.
• Positive tester probe
Brown terminal "1"
• Negative tester probe
Brown/Red terminal "2"
c. Measure the air induction system solenoid
resistance.
Air induction system solenoid
resistance
18–22Ω at 20°C (68°F)
d. Out of specification → Replace.

• Reed valve cap
2. Install:
• Air cut-off valve
• Air cut-off valve hose 1
• Air cut-off valve hose 2
• Air cut-off valve hose 3
• Air cut-off valve coupler
