1. From the back side of the unit (with the
controls on your left) and holding log #1
in your left hand with the widest end of the
log away from you, place the log over the
pilot, making sure to locate notches in log
over the first tine from left on the near side
and the first two tines from the left on the
front side of the unit.
3. Hold log #3 with the fat end to the right
and the narrow end to your left. Place
the log over the key on the top of log
#2 closest to you making sure to align
the bump on the narrow end against
the inside end of the second tine from
the left. Position log with the inside
face of the log perpendicular to the
middle burner. There will be a slight gap
between the left end of the log and log
#1 (about 3/8 inch.)

2. While holding log #2 in your right hand

with the wide end of the log toward you
KSTDV log 1
and the flat edge on the bottom right,
place the log over the right end of all three
burners, making sure to align the notches
in the log with the first tine from the right
on both the front and the rear grates.
