    Drive controls and connectors The following diagrams show the location and functions of the drive controls and connectors. Front view of the drive: 1 Disc drawer This drawer is where you load and unload a disc. 2 Busy indicator This light comes on when the drive reads from or writes to a disc. 3 Emergency eject hole This hole provides access to the eject mechanism to remove a disc from the drive.

    The IBM CD-RW & DVD-ROM Software and User’s Guide CD contains several video device drivers in the \DRIVERS\VIDEO directory. These can be useful if you are having difficulty playing back DVD videos. Before using them, consult your system manual to determine what video hardware you have. In addition, if your IBM option is installed in an IBM computer, you might be entitled to service at your location. Your technical support representative can help you determine the best alternative.
