Maintenance Schedule
SERVICE AT
INTERVALS INDICATED
Verify safety start interlock system
Visually inspect unit for loose
hardware and/or damaged parts
Visually inspect tires
Check oil level, engine (1)
Clean air intake screen (8)
Check fuel level
Blades - sharpen & securely fastened
Discharge chute - securely in place &
in lowest position
Clean engine and pump
compartment
Replace air cleaner paper element

Grease deck pusher arms
Grease pump idler
Grease deck height pivots
Grease gauge wheel bearings
Change engine oil and filter (1) (4)
Clean cylinder and head fins(a)
Check battery connections
Check tire pressure with a gauge
Check hydraulic oil level
Clean engine exterior (a)
Clean & regap spark plugs (a)
Check pump and deck belt tension
and condition (6)
Check fuel and hydraulic lines (7)
Check fuel valve and grommet (7)
Tighten lug nuts on wheels (2)
Change fuel filter
Clean or replace hydraulic fill cap
Change hydraulic filter & oil (3)
Grease deck spindle housings
Replace spark plugs
Check ROPS mounting hardware (9)
NOTES:
1.
Initial oil change is after 5 hours of operation. Thereafter, change oil after every 40 hours
operation. Change more often under dusty or dirty conditions and during hot weather periods.
2.
Torque initially and after first 2 hours of operation.
3.
Perform initial hydraulic filter change after 50 hours (one week) of operation.
4.
Change engine oil filter per the engine manufacturer's recommendations. Refer to Engine
Owner's Manual for recommendations and other maintenance items.
5.
Service more often under dusty or dirty conditions. Use caution when servicing to prevent dust
contamination in the engine. Do not clean filter element. Replace with a new one.
6.
Pump drive belt only - Inspect every 100 hours and replace if worn or cracking is noticed.
Otherwise, replace every 400 hours or 2 years whichever comes first.
7.
Check fuel line hoses, fuel valve and grommets for any cracks or leaks
8.
More often under dusty or dirty conditions and during hot weather.
9.
Inspect ROPS after the first 20 hours of operation and then after every 500 hours of operation or
yearly whichever comes first.
