Troubleshooting
A bar of light (purplish red) appears on the LCD
monitor.
Sometimes appears when
shooting a bright subject,
such as the sun or other
light source.
[II

A slow shutter speed has
likely been selected
because of insufficient
lighting.
_ This is a normal occurrence in
devices containing CCOs and does
not constitute a malfunction. This bar
of light will not be recorded when
shooting still photos, but it will be
recorded when shooting movies.
- Set the IS Mode to any setting other
than [Off] (p. 70).
- Raise the ISO speed (p. 104).
- Set the Auto ISO Shift to any setting
other than [Off].
- Select a setting other than ~ (flash
off) (p 62).
- Set the self-timer and attach the
camera to a tripod or other device
(p.64).
- These settings will be overwritten by
those set by your camera
(pp. 150, 155).
