Taking Panorama Pictures (Panorama Assist Mode)

You can take a number of images and join them together to
form a panorama picture. The panorama software provided with
the camera and a computer that supports Windows are neces-
sary for joining the images.

Press the four-way controller ( )
in Capture mode.
The virtual mode dial appears.

Use the four-way controller (
to display the Panorama Assist
) at the top of the dial.

Press the four-way controller ( ).

Use the four-way controller to
choose the direction in which the
images will be joined.
Joins the images at the left.
Joins the images at the right.
Joins the images at the top.
Joins the images at the bottom.
The example shows the images when

Take the first picture.
Press the shutter release button to
take the first image. The right edge
of the image is displayed in trans-
parent form on the left of the LCD
monitor.

Move the camera to the right and
take the second picture.
Repeat the above procedure to take
the third and subsequent pictures.

To cancel Panorama mode, change to another mode.

• The camera cannot join the images. Use the panorama
Caution
software provided with the camera.
• Continuous shooting is not possible in Panorama Assist
mode.
• A computer that supports Windows is necessary for join-
ing images to form a panorama picture. (The software
provided with the camera is not supported by Macintosh.)
