Displaying Shooting Information in Capture Mode

You can display information on the LCD monitor when shooting.
The display mode can be changed by pressing the Display button.
Display On
Shooting information is displayed.
q Flash mode w Shooting mode
e Focus mode r Capture mode

y Number of recordable images
u Date & time i Battery indicator
o Card/Built-in memory
Histogram Display
The brightness distribution of the image is
displayed.
The x-axis shows the brightness (darkest at
the left end and brightest at the right end)
and the y-axis shows the pixel numbers.
q Histogram w Recorded pixels
e Quality level r White balance
t AE metering y Sensitivity
u Card/Built-in memory
Display Off
No shooting information is displayed.
• The AF frame is displayed in
Autofocus mode.
• If any of the modes are changed such
as Flash mode, the mode you
have changed is displayed for a few
seconds.
LCD Monitor Off
Turn off the LCD monitor.
(The LCD monitor is not turned off in
Playback mode.)
• The display cannot be turned off in
Caution
mode.

Selecting the Recorded Pixels

You can choose the number of recorded pixels from [2048 ×
1536], [1600 × 1200], [1024 × 768] and [640 × 480].
2048 × 1536 Suited for printing on A4 paper (8 1/2 × 11)
1600 × 1200 Suited for printing on A5 paper
1024 × 768
Suited for printing on postcards
640 × 480
Suited for attaching to E-mails or for creating
websites

Select [Recorded Pixels] on the
[ Rec.Mode] menu.

Use the four-way controller (
to change the size.

Press the OK button.
The camera is ready to take the
picture.
• The recorded pixels is fixed at 320 × 240 pixels in the movie
memo
picture mode.
• If you select a large size, the picture may appear distinct
when it is printed out.
