Live Relay/Recording
The control unit of the HXR-MC1P has
connectors for both HDMI output and
analogue video output. By using a
commercially available HDMI/HD-SDI
converter or an A/D converter, you can
also make live relays or recordings
using HD-SDI signals. If you use visuals
that close in on the subject, such as
images taken by the HXR-MC1P on the
posts of a football goal or a close shot
of a musician's hands, you can
achieve even more powerful live
images. The HDMI and analogue video
connector outputs SD signals when the
recording mode of HXR-MC1P is set
in SD.

When the HDMI signal is converted to HD-SDI, a short delay may occur. Please consult the manufacturer of the converter for more details.
Shooting Small Animals
and Insects
The HXR-MC1P's small camera head is
also good for shooting small animals
and insects. The small size of the
camera makes it ideal for shooting wild
animals, which can be very aware of
camera equipment in their natural
environment. Plus, with a continuous
recording time of about 6 hours*, the
camera can be left for long periods to
ensure you capture the right footage.
You can also slide the camera through
grass and foliage to capture the world
of insects.
* Continuous recording with the optional
NP-FH100 battery (LCD backlight = OFF). With
ordinary use, with frequent recording start/stop
and zooming etc., this will reduce to
approximately 3 hours.

Images From Operator's

operators with special skills, such as
process engineers, can be used for
simulation material or for training

skills. Also, the recorded video can
be used to analyse the actions or the
action pathways made by a person or
object carrying the camera.
Notes:
The LCD panel does not display all captured
area. Extreme shock or vibration may lead
to malfunction. It is advisable to use
commercially available shock absorbing tools.
Users should take care to install the camera and
control unit in a safe position. Sony cannot take
respon sibility for any problems arising from
