Double-speed Duplication

You can copy a disc at a double speed by connecting
two CDR-W66s using the DUPLICATE terminal on the
back panel of the CD recorder.
This function can automatically copy music data of all
recorded tracks, text information (disc name, track
name, and English titles only), and skip information.
Cautions
The recording disc when copying ended is not
finalized.
Note that copied text information is erased when you
take out the unfinalized disc or turn OFF the power.
Connector Cable Specification
Use the connector cable conforming to the specification
below.
Connector: DIN 8-pin connector, male
(Connector for the CD recorder: DIN 8-pin
connector, female)

Cable Precautions
Use a shielded wire* as a cable. The length of the cable
must be 1 m or shorter. If it is long, normal
transmission may be impossible.
* Such as Belden 9536 (24AWG x 6 cores, overall
shielded wire) etc.

Operating Procedure

Connect two CDR-WW66s by the cable
specified left, and turn ON the power.

Insert an original disc for playback into one
CDR-W66 and a disc for recording into the
other CDR-W66.
Be sure to use an unrecorded disc as a

disc to be recorded.

Select "Duplicate Start" from the Setup menu
of the CD recorder for playback, and press the
AMS or YES button.
If CD recorder for playback is not prepared
properly, "Duplicate Start" is not displayed.
If a disc is not inserted into the CD recorder for
recording or an inserted disc is not a blank disc,
"Duplicate Not Ready" will be displayed.
If two CD recorders are not connected properly,
"Connect Err" will be displayed. Check the
connection or connector cable.

After "Duplicate Sure?" for confirmation is
displayed, press the AMS or YES button.
If you press the NO button, the display is
canceled.

Disc copy starts.
After the operation starts, the CD recorder for
playback controls by communicating with the
CD recorder for recording, and the CD recorder
for recording cannot perform any operation.
The track number, time information, and
"Duplicate" will flash in the display of both CD
recorders.
Music data, skip information, and text
information are copied in this order.

After copying ends, "Duplicate" will
disappear, and both CD recorders will enter
stop mode.
To Stop Copying Midway
Press the STOP button of the CD recorder for playback.
If you stop copying midway, the recording disc will be
recorded to a portion when you stopped.
Audio Output During Double-speed Duplication
No signals are output from all audio output terminals
(COAXIAL, OPTICAL, AES/EBU, UNBALANCE,
BALANCE, headphone) when double-speed
duplication is performed.
