Composing and Sending a Text Message

After creating a new text message, follow the steps below to enter your message and then send it.
1.
Add recipients. In the To field you can:
Start entering the first few letters of the recipient's name to display a matching list of names from your
stored contacts. Each recipient in the results list may have several phone numbers. Tap the number to
which you want to send your text message. To add another recipient, repeat the process.
Enter each recipient's mobile phone number separated by a semicolon ( ; ).
Tap Menu > Add Recipient and then tap a contact from the list.

Tap the text box that shows "Tap to compose text" and then enter your text message.
To select from a list of common text messages, tap Menu > Quick Text and choose one to insert to your
message.

When you have finished composing your text message, tap Send .

Copying and Pasting Text
You can copy words or lines of text from a received message and then paste them to a new text message.
To copy and paste text to your new text message:
1.
Open the message where you want to copy text from.
2.
Touch and hold the text you want to copy and tap Make Selection from the menu that appears.
3.
Tap on the starting point where you want to begin copying, and then drag your finger to select the words
or lines of text.
4.
After selecting the text, touch and hold the selected text, and then tap Copy .
5.
Create a new message. In the body of the message, touch and hold the position where you want to paste
the text, and then tap Paste .

Managing Threaded Text Messages

Text messages that are sent to and received from a contact (or number) are grouped as a single thread in
your inbox. Threaded text messaging lets you see exchanged messages (similar to a chat program) with a
contact on the screen.
