    Your HTC Touch Pro Global Phone covers all the bases by incorporating a SIM slot into its CDMA architecture. Now when you travel outside the range of the Telus CDMA coverage area or roam internationally, you can install a SIM card to access wireless services to make calls, send e-mail messages, browse the Internet and more using GSM network technology.

    1.7 Notifications When you touch or tap the icon area of the title bar, the Notifications screen opens to display your connection status and lists all your pending notifications including missed calls, new text messages, and more. Touch an item on the Notifications screen to open the related screen or TouchFLO 3D tab. To close the Notifications screen, touch Close or press the BACK button.

    2.1 Seamless Switching of Networks Your HTC Touch Pro Global Phone allows you to roam outside of your CDMA network by accommodating a GSM SIM card. When you install a SIM card, the device enters Global mode by default. When the phone is in Global mode it will automatically search for the appropriate network for your location (CDMA or GSM) and connect to it.

    34 Using Phone Features 2.8 CDMA Phone Settings Setting the phone connection to CDMA-only mode When the phone is in CDMA-only mode, it can only access the Telus network if available, or access other CDMA roaming networks when outside the Telus network coverage area. You may want to set the device to CDMA- only mode when you want to access CDMA services or to prevent the device from accessing GSM networks and accruing data charges.

    TouchFLO™ 3D 3.1 Using the TouchFLO 3D Home Screen TouchFLO™ 3D gives you touch control over your Windows Mobile-powered device. TouchFLO 3D provides a Home screen that allows finger-touch access to the most widely-used functions, such as People, Messages, Mail, Music, and Internet.     3.2 Home The Home tab displays the current date, a flip-style clock, and an alarm icon that indicates whether the alarm is on or off. Missed calls and your upcoming calendar appointments are also shown on the Home tab. Open the Call History tab of the People screen and view the missed call information.

    Entering Text 4.1 The Hardware Keyboard Your device comes with a QWERTY keyboard, which is similar to a standard keyboard on a computer. To use the keyboard, slide the screen panel to the right to reveal the keyboard. The screen orientation automatically switches to landscape mode when the keyboard is opened. Adjusting the LCD screen angle After sliding out the hardware keyboard, you can adjust the angle of the device screen to minimize glare and reflection.
