Configuring a Server Blade

This section describes how to switch the BX620 S5 Server Blade on and off
using the control panel when the basic unit is switched on.
The basic unit also allows you to switch the installed server blades on and off
using the control panel of the entire system as well as using the Web interface
of the management blade. You will find more detailed information on this in the
"PRIMERGY BX600 S3 Basic Unit" manual.
Switching the server blade on and off using the control panel
The basic unit must be switched on.
The server blade can be switched on and off as follows:
– To switch the server blade on, hold down the On/Off button on the server

Once a server blade has been switched on, it will switch itself on again

Configuring a Server Blade
Server blades can be configured in various ways:
– Local installation with or without the ServerView Installation Manager.
– Remote installation, see the ServerView Installation Manager Remote

– By importing clone images from a remote image repository to the desired
server blades (you will find more information on this in the RemoteDeploy
