■ Caution
Msuse of Lthum-on batteres may result n the followng
hazards: smoke, fire, or the battery may rupture. Msuse can
also cause damage to the battery or degradaton of battery
performance.
R DANGER! Use and charge only specfed Icom battery packs
wth Icom rados or Icom charger. Only Icom battery packs are
tested and approved for use and charge wth Icom rados or Icom
charger. Usng thrd-party or counterfet battery packs or charger
may cause smoke, fire, or cause the battery to burst.
D Battery caution
R DANGER! DO NOT hammer or otherwse mpact the battery.
Do not use the battery f t has been severely mpacted or dropped,
or f the battery has been subjected to heavy pressure. Battery
damage may not be vsble on the outsde of the case. Even f the
surface of the battery does not show cracks or any other damage,
the cells nsde the battery may rupture or catch fire.
R DANGER! NEVER use or leave battery packs n areas wth
temperatures above +60˚C. Hgh temperature buldup n the bat-
tery, such as could occur near fires or stoves, nsde a sun heated
car, or n drect sunlght may cause the battery to rupture or catch
fre. Excessve temperatures may also degrade battery perfor-
mance or shorten battery lfe.
R DANGER! DO NOT expose the battery to ran, snow, seawater,
or any other lquds. Do not charge or use a wet battery. If the bat-
tery gets wet, be sure to wpe t dry before usng. The battery s
not waterproof.
R DANGER! NEVER ncnerate used battery packs snce nternal
battery gas may cause them to rupture, or may cause an exploson.
