Replacing the internal speaker

This section provides instructions on how to replace the internal speaker.

Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the
"Important safety information" in the ThinkCentre Safety and Warranty Guide that came with
your computer. To obtain a copy of the ThinkCentre Safety and Warranty Guide, go to:

1. Open the computer cover. See "Opening the computer cover" on page 128.
2. Remove the front bezel by releasing the three tabs, pivoting the front bezel
outward from the top, and pulling the front bezel off the chassis.
3. Pivot the drive bay assembly upward to gain access to the internal speaker.
See "Accessing the system board components and drives" on page 129.
4. Locate the internal speaker. See "Locating components" on page 130.
5. Disconnect the internal speaker cable and the thermal sensor cable from the
internal speaker connector and the thermal sensor connector on the system
board. See "Locating parts on the system board" on page 131.
