GLB (Global)
[01...16]
Global MIDI channel. This can be assigned to one of
the sixteen standard MIDI channels.
• System Exclusive messages will be received on the
Global channel.
• In the Arrangement Play and Backing Sequence
modes the MIDI messages received over this chan-
nel simulate the integrated keyboard of the iS35. To
the integrated keyboard of the iS35 with a master
keyboard, the master keyboard must be pro-
grammed to transmit over the Global channel of
the iS35.
• In the Backing Sequence mode the keyboard tracks
(Upper 1, Upper 2 and Lower) will always transmit
over the same channel as the Global.
• In the Program mode the iS35 will transmit and
receive over the Global channel.
• When purchasing the instrument, the Global is pro-
grammed over the MIDI 1 channel. This setting can
Global

be modified and saved in the memory (see "Page
24: Write Global" on page 167).
UP1 (Upper 1)
[01...16]
In Arrangement Play mode: MIDI channel of the
Upper 1 track.
In the Backing Sequence mode this parameter will be
ignored, as reception and transmission of the Upper 1
track always take place on the Global channel.
UP2 (Upper 2)
[01...16]
In the Arrangement Play mode: MIDI channel of the
Upper 2 track.
In the Backing Sequence mode this parameter will be
ignored, since both reception and transmission of the
Upper 2 track will always take place over the Global
channel.
LOW (Lower)
[01...16]
In the Arrangement Play mode: MIDI channel of the
Lower track.
In the Backing Sequence mode this parameter will be
ignored, since both reception and transmission of the
Lower track will always take place over the Global
channel.
