When connect to Front USB Connection

Open the cover of the USB Connection Terminal.

Connect the Interface cable for iPod directly to the USB
Connection Terminal, or via the USB cable.

Connect the USB cable to the Rear USB connector of the unit.

Remove the iPod/iPhone

Remove the iPod/iPhone from Interface cable for iPod.

Notes
• This unit can charge the iPod/iPhone of the current source, and it may
stop charging when another source is switched.
• After changing the unit to a source other than the iPod, remove the
iPod/iPhone. If the iPod/iPhone is removed in the iPod mode, data may
cause damage.
• If sound is not output or the iPod/iPhone is not recognised even when
the iPod/iPhone is connected, remove the iPod/iPhone once, then
connect it again, or reset the iPod.
• Do not leave the iPod/iPhone in a vehicle for a long time. Heat and
humidity may damage the iPod/iPhone and you may not be able to play
it again.

USB Memory Connection (optional)

When connect to Front USB Connection
Terminal (CDE-173BT/UTE-72BT only)

Connect USB Memory

Open the cover of the USB Port.

Connection the USB Memory directly to the USB Port, or
via the USB cable.

Remove USB Memory

Carefully, pull out the USB Memory Device from the USB
cable or the USB Port.

Close the cover of the USB Port.
Notes
• Change to a source other than the USB AUDIO mode, and then remove
the USB Memory Device. If USB Memory is removed in the USB
AUDIO mode, data may be damaged.
• When removing USB Memory, pull it out straight.
• If sound is not output or USB Memory is not recognised even when
connected, remove the USB Memory Device once, and then connect it
again.
• Route the USB cable away from other cables, etc.
• After removing the USB Memory, close the cover of the USB Port to
prevent dust or foreign objects from entering and causing a
malfunction.
