Service Station Procedure
SUPPORT ROD
4-cylinder models

4-cylinder models
Pull the support rod out of its clip
and insert the end into the hole on
the front of the hood near the
center.

6-cylinder models
6-cylinder models
Lift the hood up most of the way.
The hydraulic supports will lift it
up the rest of the way and hold it
up.
To Close the Hood:
4-cylinder models
Lift it up slightly to remove the
support rod from the hole. Put the
support rod back into its holding clip.
Lower the hood to about a foot (30
cm) above the fender, then let it
drop. Make sure it is securely
latched.
6-cylinder models
Lower it to about a foot (30 cm)
above the fender, then press down
firmly with your hands. Make sure it
is securely latched.
