Scope

This manual describes Seagate Technology®, Inc. Elite 23™ disc drives.
Elite 23 drives support the small computer system interface (SCSI) as described in the ANSI SCSI, SCSI-2,
and SCSI-3 (Fast-20) interface specifications to the extent described in this manual. The SCSI Interface Prod-
uct Manual (part number 77738479) describes general SCSI interface characteristics of this and other families
of Seagate drives.
From this point on in this product manual the reference to Elite 23 models is referred to as "the drive" (unless
references to individual models are necessary).
