Listening to FM Stereo

When a stereo FM broadcast is received, you
can listen to stereo sound by connecting
your stereo headphones to the

external source that is connected to the AUX
IN jack.

Listening to an External Source

To prevent a sudden high-level noise,
turn the VOLUME knob counter-
jack.
clockwise to minimize the volume.

Connect the PHONES jack (audio
output jack) of a portable audio
player to the AUX IN jack of the R-1
using the supplied stereo mini plug
cable.

Turn the Function knob to select AUX.

Play the source, and adjust the
volume using the VOLUME knob of
the R-1 and the audio player.
When using the PHONES jack of your mini
player, you must remember to adjust the
volume of the mini-player or you may
hear no sound from your R-1. Do not turn
the volume of the mini-player up too high
or the sound from the R-1 ma be
distorted.
