    NOTE: Inspect the shipping carton for any parts that may be missing BEFORE discarding the carton. Items can shift during trans- portation, and may be accidentally discarded with the carton. If any parts are missing, please contact Star Trac Support at 800-503- 1221.
  • Page 12 3.  Installing the Display Weldment/Neck Assembly   (a) Align the Display Weldment with the base. Using the pre‐installed  wire pull the Main I/O cable (large white plastic connector), power  harness (small white plastic connector), and coaxial cable (black  rubber cover) from the bottom through the top of the neck for mating  to the display as needed.  It is recommended that each wire be pulled  through the neck one at a time.  Take care to avoid unnecessary  tension or bending of the cables.  If the base will be mated with an LED  Pre‐installed wire display without a PVS kit it is recommended to tuck the power harness  and coaxial cable inside the neck as they won’t be used.    Main I/O cable  (b) Install the 4 bolts with the associated flat washers, lock washers,  Coax Cable  and nuts as shown.  Make sure the bolts are tight.  After the Neck  Power Harness Assembly has been bolted in place, you can replace the shrouds that    were removed as part of Step 2 above.         (a)                                           (b)    Screws M4 x 0.7  4.  Open Display  Remove (2) M4 x 0.7 screws from back of display (retain for later use)  with a #2 Phillips screwdriver and separate the back of the display  from the front.               5. ...

  • Page 14 (g) Repeat steps c - f for the right handrail. (h) Replace the 2 leg levelers that were removed in step b. (i) Return the STAR TRAC E-ST STEPPER to the upright position. 6. Final Assembly and Testing Check all screws to ensure they are tightened securely.

    HINTS AND TIPS FOR GETTING STARTED The following hints and tips will assist in training your users to maximize the fitness benefits of your STAR TRAC E-ST STEPPER. Step at a rate that feels comfortable and most natural, yet is sufficient to achieve a good cardio workout.

    USING THE PERSONAL FAN The STAR TRAC E-ST STEPPER is equipped with a built-in personal fan to increase your comfort during a workout. You can control the fan speed during your workout. To operate the personal fan: Press the key, as necessary, to cycle the personal fan from OFF to HIGH to LOW to OFF.

    Heart rate monitoring allows you to determine if your workout is too challenging or not challenging enough. Monitoring your heart rate is easy with the STAR TRAC E-ST STEPPER. You may use a heart rate strap, or you can simply grasp the silver contact heart rate grips.

    PRESET PROGRAMS The STAR TRAC E-ST STEPPER offers 8 preset programs to add variety and challenge to your workout. Additionally, the HR TRAIN- ING feature lets you select one of two cardio-intensive training programs, or a Fitness Test.

    WEEKLY MAINTENANCE Perform the following services each week: Vacuum the floor under and around the STAR TRAC E-ST STEPPER. Move the STAR TRAC E-ST STEPPER to another spot, if necessary, to vacuum thoroughly. Inspect the Display Panel mounting screws for security, and retighten if necessary.
