Possible cause
The card in the
memory slot is
not a memory
card or is not a
supported
memory card.
The memory
card needs to be
formatted.
The memory
card is write-
protected.

insufficient room
to move images
to the memory
card.
The date was set
incorrectly.
You are trying to
record audio,
magnify, rotate,
or print an
image file that
was not created
by this camera.
There is
insufficient room
to rotate an
image or to
record audio.
Solution
Ensure that the card is the
proper type for your
camera (see Appendix C:
Specifications
page 77).
Press OK to display the
Format Card option in the
Delete menu. This will
delete all data on the card.
Unlock the memory card
(latch on edge of card) or
insert a new card.
Unload images from the
memory card to your
computer, then delete all
images on the memory
card.
Enter the correct date.
Use the computer software
to manipulate the file.
Unload the images from
the camera or delete
unwanted images.
