Alternate Sonos System
Setup
If you don't use Windows® or Macintosh OS X® operating systems, you can put the
Sonos System Setup CD away in a safe place and use a handheld Controller to set
up your Sonos Multi-Room Music System.
For assistance, you can go directly to:
• "System Setup Using Sonos Controller 200" on page C-2
• "System Setup Using iPhone/iPod touch" on page C-6
• "System Setup for NAS Device (no router)" on page C-10
• "System Setup Using Sonos Controller 100" on page C-12
For additional setup assistance, you can also go to our Website at
http://faq.sonos.com/nodcr.
If you have digital music stored on a computer or a network-attached storage (NAS)
device, the computer directories or folders that contain your music files must be
shared so that the Sonos Multi-Room Music System can access them. Before you
begin, enable file sharing on each computer that holds the music files you want to
access. The Sonos Multi-Room Music System will recognize many standard shared
folders on your computer or network-attached storage (NAS) device. For additional
information, visit our Web site at http://faq.sonos.com/sharing.
