    • Using a handheld Sonos Controller, select Settings -> Add a Zone from the Music Menu and follow the on-screen prompts to add this component to your Sonos system. • Using the Sonos Controller for Mac or PC, select Zones -> Add a Zone and follow the prompts to add this component to your Sonos system.

    Playing Music You can use any Sonos controller to select music— simply touch to select from the Music Menu on a handheld controller, or click to select from the Music Library pane within the Sonos Controller for Mac or PC.

    Using Line-In You can easily stream an external source such as a CD player or portable music player through your Sonos system using the audio-in connections on your SONOS CONNECT:AMP. The device will be automatically detected as soon as you plug it in.

    Sonos component not detected during setup A network or a firewall issue may be preventing the Sonos component from connecting to your Sonos system. If this is a wireless Sonos component, try moving the Sonos players closer together, or wire them temporarily to see if the problem is related to wireless interference.
  • Page 11 • If you are not using a router, you can visit our Web site at http://faq.sonos.com/norouter for more information. Check the wiring Check the link/activity lights on both the router and the Sonos component. The link lights should be lit solid and the activity lights should be blinking.
  • Page 12 Put 108 Mbps wireless routers into 54 Mbps mode. Sonos cannot function properly when a router is operating in turbo mode. In order to double the speed from 54 Mbps to 108 Mbps, the router goes into a wide bandwidth mode which utilizes most of the 2.4 GHz spectrum that the FCC has set aside for 802.11b/g devices.
