Engine Protect Circuitry
This circuitry monitors the temperature in the Light En-
gine, and Lamp, and also monitors the operation of the
various cooling fans. Figure 5-21 shows the Engine
Protect circuitry in the V28 chassis, and Figure 5-22
the Engine Protect circuitry in the DLP chassis. The
main difference between the two circuits is there is no
Air Filter in the DLP chassis, so there is no FILTER

DET status line. The FILTER-DET line is shaded in

Short & Speaker Protect Circuitry
As a quick reference, the Short Protect circuitry is illus-
trated in Figure 5-23 There are two Short Protect cir-
cuits, one for Standby Supplies and one for Switched
Supplies (PON supplies)..
