Keep the transceiver away from dust
and dirt, which can cause premature
wear of parts.
Wipe the transceiver with a damp
cloth to keep it looking new. Do not
CLEANER
use harsh chemicals, cleaning sol-
vents, or strong detergents to clean
the transceiver.
Use only a fresh 9-volt battery. Al-
ways dispose of an old battery
promptly and properly.
Modifying or tampering with your transceiver's internal
components can cause a malfunction and might inval-
idate the transceiver's warranty and void your FCC au-
thorization to operate it. If your transceiver is not
performing as it should, take it to your local Radio
Shack store for assistance.
