• Always connect the adapter to the tape recorder
before you plug it into the power source, and
unplug the adapter from the power source before
you unplug it from the tape recorder.
1. If necessary, set the adapter's voltage switch to
3V.
2. Attach the Adaptaplug to the adapter's cord with
the tip set to negative (–).
3. Insert the barrel plug into the recorder's
jack. This disconnects the internal batteries.
4. Plug the other end of the adapter into the power
source.

CONNECTING AN EARPHONE

You can use the supplied earphone to listen to a tape
privately. You can also use the earphone during re-
cording to listen to what the recorder is picking up
through

microphone
