CDMA Options
When the WWAN radio is configured to communicate with CDMA networks, the Options menu contains
three or four setting widows depending on your network firmware configuration: Sounds, Location
Settings, Data Settings (Sprint® specific), and Version Information. See
Manager
(page 8-12) for information on Network firmware configuration.
From the Dialer window, touch Menu
Sounds
The Sounds screen enables you to customize the:
• The Voicemail phone number used by the carrier
• Ring type (e.g., Ring, Increasing ring, Ring once, Vibrate, Vibrate and ring, Vibrate then ring or
None)
• Ring tone
• Keypad tone (e.g., Long, Short, or Off)
Location Settings
Selecting the radio button next to "Location ON" enables the network to detect the physical location of
the Dolphin terminal, which improves ease of use for some carrier specific applications.
Selecting the radio button next to "911 Only" turns the location feature off hiding the physical location of
the terminal from everyone except 911.
Note: Even if location is turned on in this handset no service may use your location without your express permission.
