When the SAITe1300-S is one of several devices on the
SCSI bus

Turn off all SCSI devices on the SCSI bus, including the SAITe1300-S.
Caution
When connecting or disconnecting a SCSI cable to SCSI devices
(including the SAITe1300-S), turn off all the SCSI devices. Failing to do
so may result in damage.

Connect the SCSI cable to the next device on the SCSI bus, connect the
terminator to the last device on the bus, then issue the host command to
resume operation.

Notes
• The total length of the SCSI cables between the host computer and the last
device should be less than 12 m (39.4 ft.). (The SAITe1300-S internal cable
length is 25 cm (9.8 in.).)
• If the SAITe1300-S is the last device on the SCSI bus, make sure that you
connect the supplied terminator to the open connector.
When you are done, proceed to "Configuring the S-AIT Tape Drive Unit to the
Host" on page 30.
