DVB-C function notice

DVB-C (Digital Video Broadcasting - Cable) is the DVB European consortium standard for the broadcast transmission of digital
television over cable. This system transmits an MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 family digital audio/video stream, using a QAM modulation
with channel coding.
Information for the DVB-C function
• Any function relative to the digital television (with the DVB logo) is available only within the country or area where such signals
are transmitted. Verify with the salesperson if it is possible to receive a DVB-C signal in the zone where you live.
• Even if the television conforms to the DVB-C specifications, the compatibility to future digital DVB-C transmissions is not
guaranteed.
• Some digital television functions may not be available in some countries.
• The digital reception function of this television is only effective in the countries listed in Country in the Setup menu.
Operation of DVB-C items
Instruction items marked with an asterisk in the Owner's Manual are relevant to the DVB-C function. When they are selected, a
notice message will appear. You will be asked to download the latest firmware at Toshiba's official website for your TV to enable
the DVB-C function. Otherwise, this function cannot be supported.
To initiate the function, you should check if the DVB-C signal is provided by your country or your service provider, and if your TV
is equipped with the latest firmware.
