Onboard Controllers/Ports

A fl oppy drive connector is included on the serverboard. The color-coded I/O ports
include one COM port (an additional COM header is located on the serverboard),
a VGA (monitor) port, two USB 2.0 ports (additional USB headers are included on
the serverboard), PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports, two gigabit Ethernet ports and
a dedicated IPMI LAN port.

Graphics Controller

The X8DT6-F features an integrated Matrox G200eW video controller. The G200eW
is a 2D/3D/video accelerator chip with a 128-bit core.

Other Features

Other onboard features that promote system health include onboard voltage moni-
tors, a chassis intrusion header, auto-switching voltage regulators, chassis and CPU
overheat sensors, virus protection and BIOS rescue.

Server Chassis Features

The following is a general outline of the main features of the SC815TQ-563CB
server chassis. Details on the chassis and on servicing procedures can be found
in Chapter 6.

System Power

The SC815TQ-563CB features a single 560W power supply module. The system
must be shut down when replacing or removing this power supply module.

SAS/SATA Subsystem

The SC815TQ-563CB supports up to four SAS or SATA drives. These drives are
hot-swappable units and are connected to a backplane that provides power and
control.
Note: The operating system you use must have RAID support to enable the hot-
swap capability of the SAS/SATA drives.

Front Control Panel

The control panel on the SuperServer 6016T-6F provides you with system monitor-
ing and control. LEDs indicate system power, HDD activity, network activity (two)
and overheat/fan fail. A main power button and a system reset button are also
included.
