    EXECISE GUIDELINES Building Muscle and Gaining Weight Unlike aerobic exercise, which emphasizes endurance training, anaerobic exercise focuses on strength training. A gradual weight gain can occur while building the size and strength of muscles. While developing muscle mass, your body adapts to the stress placed upon it. You can modify your diet to include foods such as meat, fish and vegetables.
  • Page 5 Workout Each workout to keep in mind that muscle soreness that lasts for a long period in not desirable and may mean that injury has occurred. Cool Down At the end of each workout, perform slow stretching exercises for 5 to 10 minutes. Ease into each stretch only going as far as you can.

    IMPORTANT ASSEMBLY INFORMATION  Tools Required for Assembling the Bench: Two Adjustable Wrenches and Allen Wrenches.  NOTE: It is strongly recommended that this equipment is assembled by two or more people to avoid possible injury.  Ensure Carriage Bolts are inserted through the SQUARE holes on components that need to be assembled.

    Guide Rod Installation The Guide Rods (#12) has holes on the rod to lock the weight stack when not in use. The shorter end of the guide rod with the lock hole will need to be pointed downwards towards the Rear Base (#1). Weight Plate Installation Slide weight plates onto Guide Rod from top to bottom.

    Combination Lock Set Up Instruction Turn the dials to the combination numbers you have set and then pull up the shackle to open the Lock. The Lock is set at the manufacturer to open at 0-0-0 (all zeros are positioned on the straight Line). It is recommended to change the combination to ensure safety.
