To Remove,Sharpen or Add Chipper
Blades:
Yourchipperwassent with onebladeattachedanda sparebladein the hard-
warebag. Thebelt life will be extendedby operatingthe chipperwith a sharp
bladeat a time.
•
Disconnect t he sparkplug wire andgroundagainstthe engine.
•
Remove the bladeaccesshatch androtatethe bladeto align with the
accesshatch.
•
Remove the flail screeninthe discharge chuteby removingthe pins that
secureit at the top andbottomof the screen.
•
Remove the blade usinga 3/16" allen wrenchon the outsideof the
bladeandan adjustablewrenchon the impellerassembly (throughthe
discharge chute). A piece of pipe or wood shouldbe usedto blockthe
flails, preventingthem from inadvertentlyturning.
•
Add,replaceor sharpenthe bladesas desired.
•
Whensharpeningthe blade,protecthandsby usingglovesandfollow
the original angleof grind.Also, makesureto removean equalamount
from eachbladeandtorqueto 250- 300in. Ibs.
