Connecting to the phone port

To make conventional calls via the analogue or ISDN network, you must connect your
Gigaset SX553 WLAN dsl with the phone port of the splitter (analogue) or the NTBA
(ISDN).
Analogue phone port
ì
Connect the Gigaset SX553 WLAN dsl with the splitter as follows:
– Insert one plug of the phone cord supplied (black) into the Line port on the
Gigaset SX553 WLAN dsl.
– Insert the other plug of the phone cord into the supplied adapter with TAE plug.
– Plug the adapter with TAE plug into the phone socket (F) on the splitter.
Make sure you do not accidentally use one of the CAT5 cables (grey).
Splitter
ISDN phone port

Connect the Line port on the Gigaset SX553 WLAN dsl with the ISDN port on the
NTBA or on the terminal adapter. To do this, use one of the phone cords supplied
(black).

Connect the network port of the NTBA with the splitter as follows:
– Insert the TAE plug of the cable belonging to the NTBA into the phone socket (F)
on the splitter.
– Insert the other plug of the cable belonging to the NTBA into the network port of
the NTBA.
