• The next time your phone connects to a previously accessed secured wireless
network, you will not be prompted to enter the key or passphrase again, unless
you reset your phone to its factory default settings.
• Wi-Fi networks are self-discoverable, which means no additional steps are required
for your phone to connect to a Wi-Fi network. It may be necessary to provide a
username and password for certain closed wireless networks.
Installing a certificate file for an enterprise network
To connect to a WPA-Enterprise or WPA-Enterprise Wi-Fi network with EAP-TLS
security, you must first install a PFX certificate file on your phone. To obtain a
certificate file, contact your system administrator.

Copy the certificate file to the root folder of the storage card, and then
disconnect the phone. For information on copying files and disconnecting
the phone safely, see "Using the Phone's Storage Card as a USB Drive" in
Chapter 1.

On your phone, press HOME > MENU, and then tap Settings > Wireless
controls > Wi-Fi settings.

Press MENU, and then tap Advanced > Security certificates.

Press MENU, and then tap Add certificate. Tap the certificate to install it on
your phone.

connecting to a wireless network" in this chapter.
Checking the wireless network status
You can check the current wireless connection status from the following:

When your phone is connected to a wireless network, the Wi-Fi icon (
