PC Connections
You can connect your phone to a PC in various USB
connection modes: you can use the Samsung Kies program
to update the phone's firmware, synchronize files with
Windows Media Player, transfer data to and from your
phone directly, or use your phone as a wireless modem.
To connect with Samsung Kies:
Ensure that Samsung Kies is installed on your PC. You can
download the program from the Samsung website
(www.samsungmobile.com).
1. In Idle mode, select Applications Settings

2. Press [
] to return to Idle mode.
3. Using an optional PC data cable, connect the
multifunction jack on your phone to a PC.

4. Run Samsung Kies and use wireless connections to
copy data and files.

To synchronize with Windows Media Player:
Ensure that Windows Media Player is installed on your PC.
1. In Idle mode, select Applications → Settings →
Applications → USB settings → Media player.
2. Press
to return to Idle mode.
3. Using an optional PC data cable, connect the
multifunction jack on your phone to a PC on which
Windows Media Player is installed.
When connected, a pop-up window will appear on the
PC.
4. Open Windows Media Player to synchronize the music
files.
5. Edit or enter your phone's name in the pop-up window
(if necessary).
