Motor will not start.
Motor will not start; fuses or circuit
breaker blown.
Motor fails to develop full power
(power output of motor decreases
rapidly with decrease in voltage at
motor terminals).

Motor stalls (resulting in blown

Machine slows when operating.
Blade does not run evenly on

Troubleshooting

1. Low voltage.

connections.

1. Power line overloaded with lights,
appliances, and other motors.
2. Undersized wires or circuits too long.
3. General overloading of power
company facilities.

2. Air circulation through the motor
restricted.

3. Incorrect fuses or circuit breaker in
power line.
4. Motor overloaded.
Applying too much pressure to
workpiece.
1. Blade support bearings set incorrectly.
2. Wheels are not coplanar.
1. Blade is not properly tensioned.

3. Tooth set is uneven.
4. Teeth are sharper on one side than
the other.
1. V-belt loose.
2. V-belt worn out.
Weld contacting guide blocks or support
bearing.
