    • Functions that can be assigned to user buttons have been added (p. 25). • A function has been added that automatically applies the channel names on the M-480 to the track names on the R-1000 when an R-1000 48-track recorder/player is connected and the M-480 is used as a recording source (p. 26).

    New functionality for scene memory • A fade function has been added. • Detailed settings have been added for the Recall Filter function, enabling the individual range to be set independently for channels, DCA/MUTE groups, and effects. Fade function The fade function makes parameters change gradually over a specific interval when a scene memory is recalled. The fade function can be set individually for each scene.
  • Page 4 New functionality for scene memory From the scene list, select the target scene, then press [F4 (PARAM EDIT)]. This accesses the RECALL PARAMETER EDIT popup. ❖FADE USE FADE button Selecting the check box enables the fade function. Fade time This sets the duration of the fade. You can set it up to a maximum of 100 seconds.

  • Page 6 New functionality for scene memory From the scene list, select the target scene, then press [F4 (PARAM EDIT)]. This accesses the RECALL PARAMETER EDIT popup. The RECALL PARAMETERS selection buttons are displayed as shown below, depending on the state of the detailed settings for the Recall Filter function.

    Added effect types CE-1(Chorus Ensemble) This is a chorus modeled on the Boss CE-1 Chorus Ensemble. The original has mono in and mono out (or wet/dry out) specifications, but the modeling adds a mode selection switch that also enables use as an effect with stereo in or stereo out specifications. The modeling also provides a level knob for adjusting the output level.

    Added effect types DD-3 x2 This is a delay modeled on the Boss DD-3 Digital Delay. The original has mono in and mono out (or delay/direct out) specifications, but the modeling has dual mono specifications that simulate two units in parallel. Pressing [ENTER] lets you switch an assignment to a DCA group on or off. SOLO button This switches SOLO for a DCA group on or off. MUTE button This switches MUTE for a DCA group on or off.
  • Page 20 New functionality for DCA groups Accessing the CHANNEL DISPLAY screen for DCA groups At the GROUP section, press [DCA]. The DCA GROUP screen appears. Move the cursor to the target DCA group, then press [F1 (CH DISP)]. The CHANNEL DISPLAY screen appears. When DCA groups have been assigned to user fader layers, pressing [SEL] for a fader module where a DCA group has been assigned lets you access the CHANNEL DISPLAY screen.

    New functionality for monitoring TALKBACK DIMMER button Selecting this check box interlinks on/off switching of the dimmer function with on/off switching of talkback. When SCREEN has been selected using the MONITOR LEVEL CONTROL selection button, the fader for the MONITOR meter on the METER screen can also be used to adjust the monitor level.

    Other new functionality Types added to 4-band EQ LO SHELF 2 (LSV2) and HI SHELF 2 (HSV2) have been added to the 4-band EQ types CH1 to 48, MAIN L/R/C, AUX1 to 16, and MTX1 to 8. With LO SHELF 2 (LSV2) and HI SHELF 2 (HSV2), you can adjust the slope angle and amount of overshoot or undershoot for shelving using the Q-value setting.
