Entering text by tracing

Instead of tapping the keys on the onscreen keyboard, you can "trace" to type words.
Trace keyboard in Settings > Language & keyboard > Touch Input > Trace
keyboard must be selected for you to use the Trace keyboard.
To trace, slide your finger on the onscreen keyboard to enter words. For example, if
you want to type "the", put your finger on the "t" key, and then trace the word (by
sliding your finger) "the" on the onscreen keyboard.

Editing text

It's easy to cut, copy, and paste text using the keyboard.
Some apps may offer their own way of selecting or copying text.
Selecting text
Highlight the text that you want to copy or cut. When you're selecting text, the
magnifier aids you by zooming in on the area where the text cursor is located.
1. Do one of the following:
§ Select a word. Press and hold the word. If you've selected the wrong word,
drag the text cursors to the correct word.
§ Select a phrase or sentence. Press and hold the first word of the phrase or
sentence that you want to select and then drag the text cursors to the rest
of the text.
§ Select all text. Press and hold on a word, and then tap Select all to select all
text in the field.
2. After highlighting the text, lift your finger.
