Audio Setup

Audio Out
The digital audio output jacks (labeled
"Coaxial" and "Optical") are used to output
the audio signal recorded on DVD discs to
an external digital amplifi er/receiver. Use the
Audio Out setting to specify the format of the
digital signal from these jacks.

is connected to a 2 channel digital
amplifi er.

WARNING:
• Do not set "AUDIO OUT" to "SPDIF/
RAW" unless you are connecting the
player to an amplifi er/receiver with Dolby
Digital (AC-3) decoding capability.
• High volume sound may damage your
hearing as well as the speakers.

Digital Setup

Dynamic Range
You can compress the dynamic range (the
difference between the quietest and loudest
passages) of a DVD soundtrack.
